The cute hole in the wall shop is housed in Harvest Grocery, an Indonesian special grocery store, right here in South Yarra.
Let's hear from Ryan, the lovely owner of Warung Coffee who runs the shop with his better half and friendly staff.
What’s in the name?
Warung is a small kiosk that sells drinks and essentials in Indonesia. At the same time people hang out meeting with friends as well.
What inspired you to start your business?
I always wanted to have a place that can accommodate people to hang out, and also for me to have my friends over. Being away from home for the last few years, this place also reminds me of it and gives that familiar home-like feeling.
What brings a smile to your face when working?
Seeing our regulars always brings a smile to my face because it means that we take care of their needs. That’s why they always come back here.
How would you like people to remember about your products or service?
Our focus is outstanding customer service and good coffee. We listen and exchange ideas. here. Everyone here is family and we love them all.
